Scout Sunday 2014

A Scout Is Reverent. Every year, Scouts across the nation recognize their Duty To God by celebrating Scout Sunday.

On Sunday February 2nd Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts gathered in their places of worship to celebrate Scout Sunday. Scouts took part in Mass by their worship and by helping out in different ways. There were scouts handing out church bulletins and serving as ushers and greeters.

Several scouts earned their religious medals after many months of study and guidance.  There are religious medals offered for every faith.  Some of the emblems earned at St John Vianney are the Light of Christ, Parvuli Dei, Ad Altare Dei, Family of God and I Live My Faith emblems.

After Mass, we had a reception in the Church Hall which was decorated with many scouting items.  Doughnuts, coffee and juice were served by the Scouts.  A tent was set up and our display case was admired.
