Scouting for Food started as an Eagle Scout project a few years ago, when a scout made his project be to help the local food pantry. The scoutmaster decided this was a good turn worthy of being done every year for our community, and now the troop 71 scouts help the food pantry every year in scouting for food.
Troop 71 has helped in another Scouting for Food outing this year. Scouting for food is a project where we put bags on people's doors for them to fill with food, and then come back later to collect said food and deliver it to the food pantry, who help feed homeless people who can't afford the basic sustenance they need to survive.
